Visit Bimbia: A Journey Through History and Healing
Did you know that long before Cameroon’s independence, it played a central role in the transatlantic slave trade?
In the South West Region, the coastal village of Bimbia was once a major slave trading hub. Enslaved Africans were brought from the interior, marched through Bonadikombo forest, and forced onto ships at the now-infamous Door of No Return bound for Europe and the Americas.
Today, Bimbia is more than a historic site it’s a sacred place of memory, healing, and cultural preservation.
At Monjoo.com, we believe in tourism that educates, honors, and empowers. We can help you organize a respectful, meaningful visit to this important landmark.
Walk the path. Hear the stories. Remember the names.
Plan your journey to Bimbia with us at Monjooo.com.
